Matthew Moore grew up with a camera in his hands. His parents worked together as wedding photographers, having a great impact on his appreciation for photography. With his family's guidance, Matt practiced the technical side of making art; learning a variety of creative ways to make use of lighting and push his equipment to the limits. In college Matt earned a Bachelor of Art's degree in Humanities, furthering his appreciation and understanding of art. His bright smile, and laid-back approach, puts people at ease as he groups guests together for shots.

Sam and Matt create the Smatt duo. They work as a team, shooting together for leisure as well as professionally. Their wedding photography style is centered around capturing special moments of the day as they unfold, combining the traditional with the trendy, to create fresh photography. Both Samantha and Matt shoot the big day primarily from behind the scenes, approaching the wedding with a more photojournalistic sensibility. This is less obtrusive and makes for more genuine art.
